This week’s money saving tip:

Take a look at garage sales. Many crafters will sell old stuff, especially if it held at a local craft shop. If you dont live near one dont worry there are plenty of online trade, buy and sell sites, but you have to pay shipping with these. Let me know if you ladies know of a good site!

So todays tip is:

I don’t know if this is for every Micheal’s but when I took a cake decorating class there the instructor told us that if we buy just one lindort (I think that’s how it’s spelt) truffle at the counter you will receive an extra 50% off coupon with your receipt. You may want to double-check but I thought this was pretty cool!! I am going to put some pictures up today of the Halloween kit once I finish it. Just a few more things to do and then I’m done.

Todays tip:

Become a part of a scrapboking group. It save you money on idea books and gives you good information about products and other tips. Some have good tips for photos, some have good tips for deals on scrapbooking supplies, and some even have prizes for contests and challenges! It’s a nice start also to getting your name out in the scrapbooking world.  Here are some good groups to join:

Also if you are having some trouble getting ideas got to youtube!!! It’s free and they have some really cool ideas on there. I think this is my favorite video I’ve found

This weeks Thrifty Thursday Tip is: go through your old papers and find one you like but have yet to use. Then take pictures to match the paper. Sometimes taking black and white pictures can be great because they can go with any layout. If you like to scrap and you already have it, you don’t have to buy anymore supplies. You just have to stick to it! Dont be tempted to go out and get embellishments or anything. I find I feel more creative if I’m limited to only what I have in front of me and I use things that are new and interesting.

I know scrapping is hard in a bad economy, but here is a tip for saving money while still being able to make your pages look better than ever! The thrifty tip for today is:

Using the ribbon or strings from your hangup clothing. I buy many tops that have the ribbon or string in the sleeves in order to keep it on the hanger. But one, I find them annoying and two, normally I don’t even hang them up. If this sounds like you, let your clothes be your scraping supplies! Just cut them out and put them with your ribbon stash. If you have any more tips about ribbon or how to make your clothes work for scrapbooking let us know! Thanks for reading!

Oh! and….

In honor of Thrifty Thursdays I have put up the Whimsical Mini Chipboard Album kits for 25% off!!! but hurry because it is only for today and there are only three available!!!
